Busan Cinema Center 

The 22nd Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) will take place from October 12 to 21 on 32 screens in five theaters throughout Busan. The theaters include Busan Cinema Center, LOTTE CINEMA Centum City, CGV Centum City, MEGABOX Haeundae, and Dongseo University Sohyang Theater. BIFF announced actor Jang Dong-gun and actress Im Yoon-ah as Opening Ceremony hosts.

 

For the first time, BIFF is set to open and close with female directors’ films, starting with Shin Su-won’s Glass Garden on October 12 and ending with Sylvia Chang’s Love Education, October 21.

 

A total 300 films from 75 countries will be screened, with 99 world premieres (75 feature films, 24 short films), 31 international premieres (26 feature Films, 5 short Films), and 10 films in the New Currents section.
