OFFSHORE KOREA 2018 will be held at Exhibition Hall I, BEXCO for 3 days from October 10, 2018 (Wed) to October 12, 2018 (Fri). The exhibition will be held with the purpose of overcoming recently intensified structural difficulties in the shipbuilding and marine industry and to reinforce the competitiveness of the offshore plant industry.
This event features 850 booths representing 350 companies from 35 countries and is hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries and Busan Metropolitan City. It is sponsored by 6 institutions, including Busan Marine Equipment Association, BEXCO, Korea Offshore & Shipbuilding Association, KOTRA, Kyungyon Exhibition Corp. and KIMEX Group. This event is composed of an exhibition, a technical conference, a shipbuilding and offshore plant equipment export consultation meeting. Participating in and specially sponsoring this event are large shipbuilding companies Hyundai Heavy Industries and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering. The presence of these powerhouses establishes the consensus for the development of the offshore plant industry and economic recovery under the harsh conditions of relevant industries.
This exhibition is participated by large shipbuilding companies, Hyundai Heavy Industries and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, as well as major equipment and facility companies including NK, PANASIA CO, LTD., and STAUFF KOREA. Major shipping institutions including ABS and KR and relevant research institutions and associations, including Korea Marine Equipment Research Institute, Busan Technopark, Korea Offshore Plant Engineering Cooperative, and Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering, will also participate in the large joint zone. In addition, 11 overseas countries, including England, Denmark, U.S., Japan, Germany, and Norway, will participate in the form of the national zone, presenting the reputation of OFFSHORE KOREA 2018 as a global exhibition.
In addition, the 4th Offshore Korea Technical Conference will be held concurrently at the convention hall of BEXCO. The conference advisory committee, consisting of a group of world-class experts from shipbuilding yards, shipping institutions, universities, research institutes, and the industry, is planning the event. Two keynote speeches, 2 panel discussions, 12 sessions, and 56 topic presentations will be delivered. In addition, the GOMP (Global Offshore & Marine Plaza) export consultation meeting area will be prepared in the venue, promoting the revitalization of exchange between buyers and companies.
