The 15th ‘Busan International Seafood & Fisheries Expo 2017,’ which serves as the largest platform for the fishery trade in Asia, is scheduled to be held at Hall 1, 2 and 3A of BEXCO Exhibition Center Ⅰ for three days from Wednesday, November 8 to Friday, November 10. It features about 900 booths by about 400 companies from about 30 countries.
‘Busan International Seafood & Fisheries Expo 2017’ is hosted by Busan Metropolitan City and organized by BEXCO, Korea Fishery Trade Association, National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives, and KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency). This year, high-ranking cabinet officials, vice-ministers or director class personnel from foreign governments will participate in this expo and engage in fully fledged diplomatic efforts to secure fishery resources in Asia.
Particularly, diverse programs will be conducted so that the fishing industry can be established as Korea's future industry through industry-university-institute collaboration, and a platform to meet excellent and new cases related to fisheries will be provided, including ‘Smart Farming Zone', ‘Briefing Session for New Products/New Technologies by Participating Companies’, and ‘Contest to Choose an Excellent Community of Autonomous Management Fishing.’ In addition, various events associated with the fishing industry will be held. Concurrent events will also be provided to promote the consumption of fishery products and show the newest information and trends related to fisheries.
