Built upon the site around the Haeundae beach where the Suyeong Airfield used to be, Busan Exhibition and Convention Center(BEXCO) has the main Exhibition Hall of 26,466m², an area as large as the combination of three FIFA soccer fields. And medium and small exhibition halls plus outdoor space, and the Center becomes the biggest of its kind in Korea. Also, the Exhibition Hall is the only column-free floor area in Korea.
Instead,it uses movable partition plates to maximize variability on the floor, plus 2,800 on the third floor, which provides a perfect venue for large-scale conferences with its state-of-the-art presentation facilities, video-conferencing systems and simultaneous interpretation systems in eight languages. Particularly interesting is the Glass Hall in the shape of the city bird seagull wings. With every side made up of glasses, the Hall links exhibition halls, administration offices and convention centers. Various other facilities are placed in the basement, including a year showroom, business center, restaurant, bank, shopping mall and cafeteria.
