The 1st Busan Mayor's Cup International Surfing Championship

To expand the base for marine sports and to cultivate talented athletes, the 1^st Busan International Mayor’s Cup International Surfing Championship will be held from September 2 until September 6 at Haeundae Beach with about 300 participants in 15 teams from 10 countries around the world. Through the surfing competition, the city will draw the attention of the marine sports world and hopes to activate international exchange through a love of surfing. 

The surfing competition hosted by Busan Metropolitan City and organized by Surfing Federation Korea(SFK), consists of 8 sport entries in 7 categories, including the open, women's, international (men and women), beginner's, long board riding, junior's, and bodyboard riding categories. The Busan Mayor’s Prize will be awarded to the winners of each category.
